Sing joyously, Daughter of Zion; Shout aloud, Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, Daughter Jerusalem! (Zephaniah 3:14)
A note from Norma regarding the Conference which took place this past weekend, for which many of you were praying!
The second Bat Zion Conference was held 1-2 February in a hotel in the mountains outside of Jerusalem. “Daughters of Zion” came from Sde Boker, Beersheva and Arad in the south, from Tel Aviv and Jerusalem in the center, from Haifa and Tiberius in the north. The youngest was 17 and the oldest was in her 80’s.
The theme this year was Rina—“JOY”. And a key phrase was this: “True Joy is anchored in heaven.” After the first speaker shared this, the phrase was reiterated throughout the weekend. Speakers shared in Hebrew and English and with Russian translation for those who needed it. For the second year, all of the women in an Israeli Russian congregation in Sderot, a city near the Gaza border, which in recent years has been pounded by hundreds of rockets and mortars, came along with their pastor!
From the first note of the first worship song, the Spirit of the Lord fell on the group of 160-170 women. On Shabbat morning, one woman believed on the Lord and stepped into His Kingdom! Others experienced encouragement, healing and hope. We are already receiving reports regarding the wonderful things God did during these two days.
After two of these national conferences, I have a few observations:
Women in Israel are hungry for more of the Lord!
Their raw honesty and transparency open the doors of their hearts for deep healing and renewal.
There are many, amazing, Women of Valor in the Body in Israel! [That is the literal translation from the Hebrew of the first words of Proverbs 31:10]
The next generations will run with what we are starting now!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO WERE STANDING WITH US IN THIS INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT GATHERING!
* For a rear guard for all speakers, worship leaders, and organizers of the Bat Tzion gathering..
* That fruit will continue to come forth from the good seeds which were planted by the Holy Spirit
