Frequently Asked Questions

Will I need to register?

YES! Your table sponsorship or individual ticket purchase will act as your registration. You will still need to provide the names of your guests in order to ensure they are registered. Email your guests names to or call 817.864.9300. All guest names need to be submitted by November 1, 2018. Due to the nature of the fundraising event, tickets are non-refundable.

Why do I need to register?

Seating is limited and tickets will not be sold at the door.

I’m coming with a group of friends. How can we be sure to sit together?

The only way to make sure your seats are next to each other is at the time of purchase. When registering for the banquet event, you’ll have the opportunity to register and purchase additional seats. You can also opt to purchase an entire table for eight (8) allowing everyone in your party to sit at the same table.

What is the last date I can register?

The last date to register for hosting a banquet table is November 1, 2018. The last date to make ANY changes to a banquet table guest list or reserve individual seats will be November 8, 2018.

Can children participate in this event?

Childcare will not be provided and bringing very small children is strongly discouraged. Everyone attending the event must have a ticket regardless of age.

What should I wear?

The dress code for this year is business. Men: Jacket is suggested. Women: Dress or nice pantsuit, suggested.

May I bring a camera?

While photos can be taken in the outer and lobby areas of the venue, personal photography and recording are prohibited inside the banquet hall itself. Please refrain from bringing your camera or using a recording device. Should Security see you with such camera (including phone cameras), they reserve the right to collect it for the remainder of the evening.

Is there wheelchair accessibility?

YES. Please notify the office after your tickets are purchased so the proper accommodations can be noted.

Are there discounted event rates for lodging & transportation?

MJBI has secured a block of rooms at the rate of $109 plus tax. To take advantage of this great discount, please reserve by October 17, 2018. See hotel info.

I want to show my support for MJBI by donating to MJBI; how do I do that?

We have several different donation options. Please click here to donate today.

Is my ticket/table purchase tax deductible?

Yes. MJBI is recognized as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization by the IRS. The IRS will consider any contribution over the amount of $75 per person, which is the Fair Market Value, to MJBI as tax deductible. For example, if you purchase a $5,000 table for eight guests, $600 of this amount is not tax deductible, but the rest is.

Planned Giving

One way to ensure MJBI carries on for posterity is planned giving through your Will or Estate. To do this, all you have to do is select a specific dollar amount or designate a percentage of your Estate after other disbursements. A bequest in your Will or Estate allows you to not only pledge your support now, but it lets your gift be a blessing beyond your life. If you wish to pursue giving to MJBI through your Will or Estate, please email

Honor Giving

Honor giving allows you to commemorate a special date or the life and accomplishments of a friend or family member. With MJBI you can immortalize the memory of someone by simply designating a donation as a Tribute or Honor gift. To learn more, please email
