The Apostle Paul clearly understood the heart of God towards the Jewish people. As we shared last month, they were and are His “firstborn among the nations” (Ex. 4:22) and His “special possession” (Deut. 7:6). Paul knew that Yeshua had come intentionally for the “lost sheep of the house of Israel” (Matt. 15:24), because they were and are God’s Covenant People, whom God predestined to use to bless every nation of the earth (Gen. 12:3).

Most Evangelical Christians understand that Israel is special to God, and over the past decades have developed a heartfelt love and respect for the Jewish people. But only a small minority of churches understand what Paul teaches in Romans 1:16.

“The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation for all who believe, to the Jew first, and then to the Gentiles (nations).” ROMANS 1:16

Even though Paul was the apostle to the Gentiles, he consistently took the Gospel first to the Jewish communities in his ministry. Paul knew this was part of God’s divine order, and he knew that Jewish acceptance of Yeshua would lead all the nations of the earth into revival and the knowledge of the God of Israel (Rom. 11:15)!

Watch Gateway Church Senior Pastor Robert Morris share one of the most profound teachings on the message of “To the Jew First”.

Our driving passion is taking the Gospel “to the Jew first.” We aim to advance this message in the Church around the world, in order to see more churches and Christians make Romans 1:16 a key part of their ministry.

Will you partner with us in this Spirit-led move to share the love of Yeshua with Jewish people?
