Wayne Wilks Jr. is the President of the Messianic Jewish Bible Institute (MJBI). The MJBI was birthed under the leadership and cooperation of several ministries in 1996 after the unprecedented evangelistic harvest of Jewish people on the former USSR. The purpose of the MJBI is to train leaders for Messianic Jewish Congregations as well as educate the Church on God’s heart for the Jewish people. Since that time, numerous schools habe been birthed around the world.
Although not Jewish, Wayne had a calling and heart to serve the Jewish people many years before the MJBI opportunity arose. Before the MJBI, he served 10 years as one of the pastors and elders of Shady Grove Church in Dallas, Texas. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of North Texas in College Teaching, a M.A. in Speech Communication from Oklahoma State University, and a B.A., in Biblical Studies from Abilene Christian University. He also had done graduate work at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Preaching and at The University of the Holy Land in Jerusalem in Biblical Geography. Wayne and his wife Bonnie reside in Texas and travel internationally representing the MJBI. They have one daughter, Julia.
